About the foundation
Unhistoric Acts Foundation is the public-facing identity of Unhistoric Acts Inc., an independent public-interest organization developing durable, open infrastructure for consequential public records.
Who we are
We work where civic importance and institutional neglect meet. Our focus is the information infrastructure beneath public understanding: the records, standards, tools, and editorial practices that let people see what their institutions are doing.
The foundation is designed to support patient, technically serious work with a clear public purpose. We aim to earn trust through transparent methods, modest claims, and products that remain useful after the initial attention has passed.

Diligence
This section is structured for the materials commonly needed in a nonprofit review. Links will be added when the underlying documents are ready for public distribution.
How we intend to operate
Methods and evidence should be inspectable, with uncertainty and corrections made visible.
Funding should not dictate editorial findings, conceal conflicts, or narrow the public we serve.
Public records work still requires judgment about personal information, security, and foreseeable harm.
We will plan for maintenance, portability, and succession rather than treating launch as completion.
