One sentence

Unhistoric Acts Foundation builds durable, open infrastructure that makes consequential public records easier to find, understand, and use.

Two sentences

Unhistoric Acts Foundation makes the ordinary record of public life durable, legible, and useful. We preserve, structure, and explain consequential public records so people can understand what their institutions are doing and trace claims back to the evidence.

One paragraph

Unhistoric Acts Foundation is an independent public-interest organization building durable, open infrastructure for consequential public records. We work on the overlooked layer beneath public understanding: preserving unstable records, structuring difficult documents, improving discovery, and adding clear editorial context while keeping a direct path to the source. Our goal is to make civic information genuinely usable by communities, journalists, researchers, public-interest technologists, and responsible automated systems—not only available in theory.

Two paragraphs

Unhistoric Acts Foundation is an independent public-interest organization that makes the ordinary record of public life durable, legible, and useful. Much of civic life is decided in meeting packets, agendas, minutes, ordinances, notices, and administrative records that are technically public but scattered across brittle websites, image-only files, and inconsistent archives. We preserve and structure those records, improve their discoverability, and add the context people need to understand them.

We focus on patient, technically serious work where civic importance and institutional neglect meet. Our tools and editorial practices are designed to lead people back to evidence, keep uncertainty visible, protect sensitive information, and remain useful after the initial attention has passed. By strengthening the information infrastructure beneath public understanding, we aim to support communities, journalists, researchers, public-interest technologists, and responsible automated systems.
